Part-Time Marketing Specialist Needed

Job Description: The MBDA Business Center – Columbia, SC is seeking an energetic, savvy and curious part-time marketing specialist that will assist the Center with all aspects of marketing, advertising and public relations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Creative and technical copywriting/editing
• Graphic design (print and web)
• Building and maintaining a media and client database
• Helping to coordinate small events
• Writing press releases, articles and letters
• Administrative duties, as needed

Knowledge and Skills: Candidate should be capable of initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships. In addition, he/she should be able to coordinate with all the departments involved to ensure the completion of the associated tasks. A high degree of organization and self-motivation is required, as well as exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Additionally, the candidate must have proficient Microsoft Office skills, and be familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Web design skills are a plus.

Current students or college graduates must have/be gaining a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, advertising or another closely related major. Independent thinking and confidence are a must.
